AA is free - there are no membership fees: the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. The vast majority of AA members are not religious. We're not for or against anything so we don't express public opinions . We stay sober by helping each other: sharing our experience, strength and hope of our 12-part recovery program.

Each AA group supports itself - we don't accept money from outside AA. Surplus funds are used to carry our message of recovery to those looking for a solution.
